President
Tom Dunn currently serves as the Foundation’s president and has been involved since the non-profit was established. He is an Engineering consultant for the Navy working with weapon systems at Naval Air Station Pax River. He has lived in the Southern Maryland area since 1999, raised 2 children here, and has been involved in local charities and community organizations throughout that time. He has a passion to see opportunities to flourish created for those who have a willingness to put the effort forward to make a positive change in themselves, their community, and their nation.
Vice President
Erin Emery currently serves as the Foundation’s vice president and has been involved with the non-profit for 3 years. She has been in the Human Resources field in support of the defense industry for over 25 years. She has lived in the Southern Maryland area since 1996, raised 2 children here, and is the co-founder of a local veteran focused non-profit for over 5 years. She is passionate about the community she lives in and eager to provide support to make a difference in the lives that live and work in it.
Treasurer
Aaron Young is serving as the Treasurer of the Foundation and has been involved since April 2023. He graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering in May 2022. He is now supporting the Combat Survivability Division at Naval Air Station Pax River. His desire to help others is a motivating factor behind his many years of community service.
Secretary
Makayla Mikesell is serving as the Foundation’s Secretary and has been involved with the Foundation since April 2023. She is currently studying for her BSE in Electrical Engineering as an Arizona State University Online Student. She has been supporting the Combat Survivability Division at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River since 2020. She has a passion to find ways to support her community in any way she can.
Board Member
Stan Salamon is one of the founding members of The ACE Group Foundation and the primary funding source, ACE Consulting Group. Stan teamed to form ACE Group following a 26 year career as a USMC aviator. He holds an MS in analytics and works as an analyst for government customers. The foundation serves as an avenue to serve the community.
Nominating Committee Chair
Joe is a native of Southern Maryland, and the ACE Foundation is his first foray into the nonprofit community. He has been a board member for five years. He has derived immense satisfaction working with the other members of the Foundation Board of Directors, and is grateful for the opportunity to playa small part in giving back to the community that has been so good to him and his family.
Board Member
Greg Velicer graduated with a BS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara, and then spent over 40 years at the Naval Air Warfare Center China Lake supporting programs including LRASM, AARGM, HARM, AMRAAM, Sidewinder, and SideARM. Greg currently supports PMA-201 FXDO in a Systems Engineering role at China Lake, CA.
